Subsequently, everytime I heard it after that I actually had to shut off the radio until I thought it was over. That sounds harsh but it is actually the truth!
I totally understand! This was me and that song by "The Rapture", or was it called "Rapture"?. That song makes me soooooo angry. The one describing in great detail some guy cheating on his wife. Yeah. That one.

Pointless.

Evanescence gets my vote.. hands down.
There's many songs I don't particularly like, but I can understand why people might dig 'em... but Evanescence makes my skin crawl & it surprises me that 97X even plays it: let alone enough to make me want to vomit when I hear that voice.

I like Jurassic 5, but I'm soooo sick of hearing it. Atari is a dead sound & needs to go away, but what the fvck do I know...

...97X still kicks my ass.

Yowza! I like the Rapture song. There are a lot of songs out there w. not-so-nice lyrics, but dang, "House of Jealous Lovers" is one catchy tune.

I'm pretty tired of "Revelry". It seems to be on every time I get in my car.

Ha Ha Ha ! I laughed my ass off at this one. But you're probably in for a thrashing from all those Tool fans and Mike Patton worshippers who think that Rock and Roll has to be serious and how dare you smile....

Don't worry I got yer back.

I can't stand the Streets either! The first time I heard the one song (if that's what you want to call it) I thought it was some sort of weird annoying commercial! (obviously that wouldn't be the case on 97X, but whatever)
and leave one of my fave bands alone god d*mnit! lol

I think redmeg was probably talking about "Rapture" by Pedro the Lion, where he says, "pity that it's not my wife." There aren't enough words in "House of Jealous Lovers" to describe anything in detail! And I do agree, it is damn catchy.

I'm joining the Streets hater club. Does anyone like them??

The Audioslave and Zwan songs are dissappointing. I'm really sick of all electronic music right now too... it'll grow on me again in a few months.

Oh yea... more Coral!

And Tool is still the best band in the world... nothing anyone says can change that.

From what I can tell, it's me and foolsgold on the pro-Streets wagon.

I just think the WOXY crowd tends to be knee-jerk anti-rap at times.

That's not why I don't like 'em. I love rap music and I wouldn't put them in that category.

That's what I meant, not "House of Jealous Lovers". Thanks for clearing it up for me since my butt hasn't checked back on this thread until now!

it makes me so sad to hear all of you people bashin up the streets! you all work hard for a living and so does mick. have you even heard his other songs like it's too late,my personal favorite,or would you rather go listen to tupac or 50 cent.i'm NOT a rap fan but this guy does a heck of a job,i don't really like british bands to much, but the ones i do like, coldplay, athlete, and the streets, should be respected as great, because that is what they are, nothin else to it,and why did you even bring them up,they're on the MEDIUM rotation list!

1. Why does it affect you emotionally if I don't like the Streets?
2. I most certainly do NOT work hard. That's why I'm all over these boards.
3. I've heard the album that "Let's Push Things Forward" is from.
4. I'd rather listen to Jawbreaker, thanks for asking.
5. I don't consider him rap. He may very well be doing a heck of a job at whatever it is he does.
6. I can respect the urge to make music. I don't have to respect the people. They haven't done anything that makes me, specifically, obliged to.
7. "Great" is an opinion, kinda like "fucking terrible"...y'know?
8. I brought him up because he has been (and most likely will be again) on the heavy rotation list. And I really don't like him.

i await the day he returns to the heavy rotation lists, and i respect the fact that everyone has an opinion,if we didn't we'd all be idiots who pranced around listening to avril lavigne or some crap like that,ty god for enlightening 97X to NOT play avril.and i understand that people don'ike the stre, practically at all,but you're starting to beat the hell out of bands in here, just let i be,enough bashing, you're all expressing great amounts of hatred,...well so am i...but...that's beside the point...lol,anywyas,just leave em be,go pick on any other band i like except for the streets or dashboard, pikkin on dashboard is when things go overpersonal, but not a word mentioned about chris yet so it's cool. we now return to your regularly scheduled bashing of anyone but the streets, and dashboard, lol, man i hate avril lavigne,oh there i go contradicting myself again,it's never gonna stop...<.>

anything by OURS. all the jeff buckley comparisons are too much. the guy takes himself too seriously and the lyrics are embarrassing.

"why are there so many racists fighting while the children play?"

WTF?!
