Chairlift arrived at The Chalet in Los Angeles on good vibrations from the previous night’s show in San Diego at The Casbah. Those good vibrations mixed with the theme from Twin Peaks to create this buttery, sunlight session for the WOXY Lounge Acts, complete with dream scales being played on the vibes.

Brooklyn’s Chairlift should be no surprise to anyone at this point as their recent performance at Bonnaroo can attest. They opened by dancing with the girl that got them into the party, “Bruises”, a lovely track that became the Ipod ad and captured our hearts, but it was when Caroline sang in French on “Le Flying Saucer Hat” that I fell under her spell, which she began casting upon arrival and testing out her keyboards to the theme to Twin Peaks. Closing out the session with Aaron posing as Brandon Flowers posing as Agent Dale Cooper covering “Human” by The Killers and Patrick discovering that The Chalet had vibes in the corner and playing as if he were Roy Ayers.

A charming band heading out to a summer of festivals like Lollapalooza and Outside Lands.
